The SEC said an Israeli firm filed false statements

BRIEFLY

December 10, 1986

In civil and administrative complaints, the commission charged Balsa Donde USA, an Israeli-based military contractor, and its chief operating officer, Arye Donde, with misleading investors by issuing false statements about its financial prospects as it prepared for an initial public stock offering. Donde and his company, which is incorporated in Delaware, agreed to settle the SEC complaints simultaneously with the filing of the charges. As part of the settlement, the agency invalidated then company's registration statement for its stock offering.
