West Covina : Waste Panel Vacancy Filled

December 25, 1986

A controversial vacancy on the city's Transition and Waste Management Commission was filled when Lee Clark, a 30-year resident of West Covina, was sworn in to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Nancy Adin.

The West Covina City Council asked Adin to resign from the commission after she wrote a letter to a newspaper criticizing a proposed plan for the BKK landfill and adjoining property. When she refused to step down, the council fired her on Oct. 13.

Clark, an admitting manager for Queen of the Valley Hospital, will serve until June 30, 1987, when the two-year term expires.
