Biola Women Break

The Biola University Women's basketball team, sporting a 10-0 record, has taken the holiday period off. The Lady Eagles are 5-0 in District II play. The team resumes action Friday night with a game in Indiana with Huntington College.

Biola Men Undefeated

The Biola University men's basketball team also has an unblemished record. The Eagles are 9-0 and host New Hampshire College Friday and Lubbock Christian Saturday. Both games begin at 7:30 p.m.

Greg Harris Feted

Texas Ranger relief pitcher Greg Harris has been chosen Century Club Athlete of the Year. He'll be honored Jan. 15 at the annual awards banquet hosted by the Long Beach service club. The ceremony will be at the Golden Sails Inn. The Lynwood-born Harris was 10-8 with a 2.83 earned-run average and 20 saves for the Rangers, who finished second behind the California Angels in the American League Western Division. Harris attended Long Beach City College and was a pitcher on the Vikings' 1976 state championship team.
