The Clippers will try to snap a nine-game losing streak tonight when they open a seven-game trip against the Indiana Pacers at Indianapolis. The Pacers (14-15) beat the Clippers, 98-93, on Nov. 18 at the Sports Arena.

Indiana Coach Jack Ramsay is going after his 800th career win tonight. He got No. 799 when the Pacers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 111-99, Tuesday night. Ramsay would become the second coach to win 800 games. Red Auerbach is the National Basketball Assn.'s all-time leader with 938 wins.

The Clippers (4-24), off to the worst start in franchise history, have lost 21 of their last 22 games. They play the New Jersey Nets Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
