Once again we are subjected to Robert Hilburn and cohorts' annual musical cowardice in the form of "Boss" and "Consensus Top 15" (Dec. 28).
As usual, they pay homage to phonies like Bruce Springsteen and the musically constipated Run-D.M.C. while overlooking the three most powerful, exciting albums of 1986:
"Orgasmatron," Motorhead; "Nightmare at Maple Cross," Girl-school; and "High Priest of Love," Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction.
Stop pontificating and review some real rock music.
