President Reagan and the 'Iran Deception'

January 04, 1987

The news media, and particularly the TV networks, seem hell-bent on making the current Iranian fiasco into another Watergate-type event.

The American people want nothing more than the truth, and they want leaders with the guts to tell the plain unvarnished truth!

President Reagan missed his golden opportunity in his last news conference; he could have told the truth, then have apologized to the people and have taken his lumps. If he had done so he would have stood 10 feet tall in the eyes of most Americans.

The people of this country are not ninnies or imbeciles; we can understand facts and the truth. We can also understand when we are being gulled and duped by the purported leaders of this nation.

Tell us the truth--we'll make our own decisions.
