DeVere Anderson Chosen Southland BIA President

DeVere Anderson, president of DeVere Anderson Enterprises, Encino and a former "Builder of the Year" is president of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California.

Ted DeCinces, president of C. T. DeCinces Construction, received the group's "Builder of the Year" award, granted to the builder member who has brought the most credit to the industry through current and past service to the association.

Anderson, who was elected at the organization's 20th annual convention in San Diego,succeeded Jack Shine of First Financial Group, Encino. Anderson also received the group's "President's Award," honoring the person who, in the opinion of the current president, has done a consistently outstanding job for the industry and organization.

Other officers are Don Steffensen, first vice president; Mel Wynn, secretary/treasurer; Allan Lowy, vice president/government affairs; Ed Layton, vice president/labor relations, and Bob Hubbert, vice president/membership and public relations.
