January 12, 1987

US Sprint, the nation's third-largest long-distance carrier, said it will be the subcontractor in the bid of Electronic Data Systems Corp., a General Motors subsidiary, for a 10-year, $4.5-billion contract to provide telecommunications services for 1.3 million federal workers.
