Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co., a giant British conglomerate, has agreed to purchase the company that owns the Denver Tech Center in a $493-million transaction, Tech Center founder George Wallace said. Officials said that P&O will acquire European Ferries Ltd., whose operations in Colorado include the Denver Tech Center office park, 50% of the 1,150-acre Meridian International Business Center in Douglas County and half of the Frederick Ross Co., one of Denver's largest real estate firms. Under terms of the transaction, P&O will acquire virtually all of European Ferries' stock in exchange for $493 million in P&O stock.
