The body of a young black woman was found in a trash dumpster at Palomares Park in Pomona. The Southside Serial Killer Task Force was called to the scene, although it appeared unlikely that the unidentified woman might have been the latest victim in the series of 17 murders in South-Central Los Angeles, a task force spokesman said. Despite the distance from the other crimes, the case will be monitored to determine whether any connection exists, the spokesman said.
