Save Hosp Grove

February 08, 1987

Can you imagine San Diego without Balboa Park? New York without Central Park? Washington without The Mall and Potomac Park? Boston without The Commons and Public Garden? San Francisco without Golden Gate Park? London without Hyde Park?

Almost without exception, the world's most-favored cities are graced by spacious parks within a short distance of the urban center. At the right time in their development, these cities had the vision to publicly acquire an appropriate parcel of land for a great downtown park and had the courage to protect it from being piecemealed by competing demands.

Now is the right time for Carlsbad; Hosp Grove is the place.
