Saturday Letters : Goodby To Good Old Kmet

February 14, 1987

We send our heartfelt thanks to all the KMET listeners who've given us loving support over the years. Thanks for being there.

Thanks also to the L.A. Times for the superb coverage of KMET's demise. It was gratifying to see the KMET spirit recognized by Robert Hilburn.

We are grateful to the broadcasting community for their support--especially radio stations KLOS and KLSX for letting us invade their studios, and television stations KCBS, KABC, KNBC, KTTV and KHJ-TV for their coverage.

What happens next? Well, we'll either take the "KMET Goodby Show" on the road or we'll become a roving youth gang! Either way, we'll be reveling in the camaraderie that we've shared at KMET. We never knew being fired could be this much fun!

Much love to you all. The KMET years were the best year of our lives, so far. Long live rock!

Whooya!
