Stefanie Kasperski, Oregon's 6-7 center, grabbed an offensive rebound and put up a shot at the buzzer that gave the Ducks a 79-78 victory oer USC Friday night in a Pacific 10 game at Eugene, Ore.
USC Coach Linda Sharp claims that Kasperski's shot came after the buzzer and plans to file a protest with the league office.
A jumper by USC's Monica Lamb gave the Trojans a 78-77 lead with 11 seconds left. Kasperski rebounded a missed shot by Oregon's Lauire Landerholm and put up the game-winner.
Gabi Neumann scored 31 points to lead Oregon (18-5 overall, 10-3 in the Pac-10). Landerholm added 20. Lamb had 26 for USC (17-7, 11-3). The Trojans will play at Oregon State Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
