NBC News president Lawrence Grossman's contract has officially expired, but NBC sources say Grossman will stay on, contract or no. An NBC spokesman said Wednesday that there's nothing unusual about NBC employees working without contracts: "It's the General Electric (NBC's parent corporation) way"--even though this trend began under former NBC chairman Grant Tinker. Grossman himself had no comment other than to say that both he and NBC President Bob Wright were "pleased" with the arrangement and that "all is well" with the network.
