Argentina filed a 1,600-page charge against former Gen. Carlos Suarez Mason, documenting 43 killings it accuses him of committing when he headed the country's 1st Army Corps during the former military government's "dirty war" against terrorism in the 1970s. The charges comply with a U.S. request for documentation for the federal court in San Francisco that will hear Argentina's request for Suarez Mason's extradition, beginning Friday. Suarez Mason, 63, Argentina's most wanted fugitive, was arrested in California five weeks ago and is being held without bail in San Francisco pending action on the extradition request.
