The Poway High School boys' soccer team got its revenge Wednesday night when it defeated Bonita Vista, 1-0, on Eamon Kavanaugh's overtime goal in a San Diego Section 3-A semifinal at Hilltop High.
Bonita Vista had handed Poway (18-1-5) its only loss of the season, a 3-0 defeat in the second round of the La Jolla tournament.
"We really wanted to go out and prove something," said Coach Bob Champion of Poway.
