Papua New Guinea Plans to Eject Japan Fishermen

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea — This island nation said Wednesday that it will order Japanese tuna boats out of its waters as a result of the collapse of negotiations on the renewal of a one-year fishing agreement.

The agreement expired at midnight Monday. Fisheries Minister Neville Bourne told reporters that Japanese boats would be intercepted when found in territorial waters.
