Charitable Group's Bingo Money Stolen

March 15, 1987

Bingo winnings worth $4,500 were stolen from a safe in the office of the United Cerebral Palsy-Spastic Children's Foundation of Ventura County, police said. The funds were targeted for April construction of two Westlake Village homes that would house 30 severely retarded people who would normally be institutionalized, a foundation spokesman said. The foundation is asking public help to replace the funds.
