"M" is the Magic letter on PBS this week.

New programs featuring Liza Minnelli and Henry Mancini are part of the special offerings as public television stations continue their spring membership pledge drive.

"Minnelli on Minnelli: Liza Remembers Vincente" finds the well-known singer-actress sharing memories of her well-known director-father Wednesday at 8 p.m. on KCET Channel 28 and 9:30 p.m. on Channel 15. The program also airs Friday at 9 p.m. on Channel 50.

"Mancini and Friends" (Saturday at 8 p.m. on Channel 28 and 9:30 p.m. on Channel 15) is a salute to the Oscar and Grammy-winning composer. Steve Allen, Julie Andrews, James Galway, Johnny Mathis, Dudley Moore, Tony Bennett and Andy Williams entertain with Mancini tunes that range from "Charade" to "Moon River."

KCET was involved in the production of both programs.
