UCLA and the Academy of Korean Studies have agreed to establish a scholars exchange to encourage joint research projects and student programs.
The Academy of Korean Studies conducts research on Korea's traditional heritage and national history, offering graduate degrees in the humanities, arts and social sciences.
Under the agreement, it will grant fellowships to UCLA faculty and enroll UCLA students in its graduate school. In return, academy faculty and researchers will join in research and curriculum development projects in Korean studies and Pacific Rim studies at UCLA. Academy students also will participate in cooperative research projects at the university.
