An avid golfer convicted of grand theft for taking up to $300,000 in construction materials from his employer has been sentenced to nine months--working at a golf course. Robert Kelly, 66, was sentenced to work as a scheduler at the Lake Chabot Golf Course by Alameda County Superior Court Judge David C. Lee. Lee also fined Kelly $10,000 and ordered him to pay restitution after Kelly pleaded guilty to grand theft from the Kaiser Health Foundation, where he worked as a construction manager.
