March 26, 1987

Cal Poly Pomona track and field athletes are bringing good credentials to Stanford this Saturday and Sunday, although they had a hard time "warming up" at their own invitational. Tina Glenn, a senior who was an all-American heptathlete in Division II last year, is ranked fourth in the nation this year. Angel Roman, a junior from Venezuela who ran for Long Beach City College last year, will be after some top times in the longer running events. Brandi Gail, a freshman from Rowland High School who was second in the shot and fourth in the discus at the Bronco meet, won the state and national prep titles in the shot last year and was second in the state, fourth in the nationals in discus.
