Texaco filed for a rehearing in a Pennzoil judgment.

March 31, 1987

The company asked the Texas Court of Appeals for a rehearing of the court's decision last month to uphold most of Pennzoil Co.'s $11.1-billion judgment against Texaco, claiming that the decision contained more than 200 errors. The filing, which Texaco had been expected to make, said the appeals court decision "simply rubber-stamps the original trial court judgment," which the company has said is "riddled with errors."
