In recognition of Cancer Awareness Week, Monday through Friday, baseline mammograms (low-dose breast X-rays) will be offered by local radiologists to women over the age of 35 who have had no previous signs or symptoms of breast cancer.
The American Cancer Society recommends that all women obtain a mammogram between the ages of 35 and 40. Between ages 40 and 49 mammograms are recommended every two years and yearly after the age of 50.
