Jim Murray is cold. The public realizes that he makes his living on his wit and mastery of the English language with his similes and metaphors, and smooth, flowing alliteration. But did he really have to say what he did about Marvin Hagler? Impostor? Indeed!
It seems to me he will say anything at someone's expense just for the sake of a laugh. Impostors don't go over 10 years undefeated, especially in the fight game. To everyone but him, apparently, Hagler is one of the best middleweights of all time.
Why couldn't he have given credit where it is deserved? Instead of accentuating the positive, which was the masterful tactical fight that Leonard fought, he chose to tear down a great man with rude and critical slurs. His article disgusted me.
