Commodore laid off employees in Pennsylvania.

April 27, 1987

Irving Gould, chairman of Commodore International, said that about 50 administrative employees at the company's West Chester, Pa., offices were laid off "as part of the company's previously announced cost-reduction program." According to Gould, "the administrative staff reductions were made to significantly improve operating efficiency in order to bring U.S. performance in line with our well-managed and highly profitable European operations."
