The Specialty Insurance Services Division of Transamerica Insurance Group has signed a 10-year lease for 90,000 square feet of office space in the Birtcher TriCentre, 333 S. Anita Drive, Orange.
The commitment for four floors of the 10-story building is one of the largest office leases signed in central Orange County in the past 10 years, according to an official with developer Birtcher. Sources say the lease is worth $21 million.
Separately, Birtcher said seven tenants have taken a total of 175,715 square feet of office and research-and-development space in the Birtcher Orange County Tech Center, 1241 Dyer Road, Santa Ana. Tracor Flight Systems Inc. signed the largest lease, for 98,189 square feet of office and R&D space, which sources estimate is worth $20 million.
Birtcher TriCentre is now 65% leased and the tech center is now 60% leased, according to Birtcher.
