Thierry Vigneron of France, the first 19-foot pole vaulter, will join most of America's premier vaulters in the Pepsi Invitational to be held Saturday, May 16, at UCLA's Drake Stadium.
Vigneron is one of three Olympic medal winners in the competition. He share a bronze with America's Earl Bell, who will also compete.
Also set to compete is Mike Tully, the Olympic silver medalist.
Billy Olson, the American indoor record-holder, Dave Kenworthy and Fresno State's Doug Fraley will contend.
UCLA's Drake Stadium vaulting facilities are considered excellent, making the chances for a 19-foot vault strong.
Frenchman Vigneron did 19-4 in 1986, ranking him fourth in the world.
