Gary Hanning has been named co-coach of Chapman College's softball team. Hanning, 30, will coach the Panthers with Lisle Lloyd, who led this year's team to a 13-28-1 record in his fifth season. Hanning has coached the Orange County Bat Busters since 1983, leading the team to second-place finishes in the American Softball Assn. Senior Nationals (players ages 16-18) the past two seasons. He also has coached at Ontario Christian High School (1978-79) and been an assistant at La Quinta High School (1985) and Saddleback College (1986).
