Hollywood Hills

Two-hour bus tours of homes in the Hollywood Hills will be conducted Saturday by the Hollywood Hills Improvement Assn. in its first neighborhood garden walk and architectural drive-by program.

Tours will begin from the parking lot of the American Film Institute at Western and Franklin avenues, starting at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. For information, call 213/463-9870, between noon and 7 p.m.

Angelino Heights

Ten Victorian houses will be open next Saturday and Sunday during the Angelino Heights walking tour sponsored by the Carroll Avenue Restoration Foundation.

Tickets at $8 for adults and $4 or those 65 or over or under 12 will be on sale in the 1300 block of Carroll Avenue, about a mile northwest of downtown Los Angeles, reached from the Glendale Boulevard exit of the Hollywood (101) Freeway.

This year's theme is "1887-1987--One Hundred Years After." Angelino Heights, the city's first historic preservation district, is generally considered to be the city's first suburb and has the largest concentration of Victorian houses in the Southland.

Mt. Washington

The Highland Park Heritage Trust will host a Showcase House, an early craftsman-style home, today from 1 to 5 p.m. at 3825 San Rafael Ave. Admission is $10.

La Canada Flintridge

The 23rd Pasadena Showcase House of Design in La Canada Flintridge will be open through May 25. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, closed Monday and Tuesday, and open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the closing day.

Tickets are $10 at the door. There is no parking at the house: Weekday parking and shuttle-bus service will be available at Seco Street and Arroyo Boulevard near the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the end of Oak Grove Drive north of Foothill Boulevard in La Canada Flintridge on weekends.
