About 35 wild burros were offered for adoption in Idaho after being trucked to Boise from Southern California. Fred Schley, Bureau of Land Management district range coordinator, said it was the first time that the animals have been relocated to Idaho. "It's something a lot different than you usually see around," he said. "People like to have them as pets and for pleasure." Schley said the BLM received many requests for the feisty animals, ranging in age from 1 to 10 years, from people willing to pay the $75 adoption fee.
