Close PLO Offices in U.S.--Dole

May 13, 1987|United Press International

WASHINGTON — Senate Republican leader Bob Dole proposed today that the United States close both Palestine Liberation Organization offices in this country, saying the terrorist record of the PLO is "written in the blood of Americans" and others.

"This is not an anti-Palestinian bill," Dole said. "It is an anti-terrorist bill." The PLO maintains an "information office" in Washington and the office of the observer mission to the United Nations in New York.
