Two men were killed and two others wounded, one critically, when a dispute over a noisy party led to gunfire in an apartment courtyard in Hollywood. Police said the argument at a building in the 3900 block of Gibraltar Avenue began when three men confronted three party-goers. Detective Richard Hoffman said handguns were drawn and several shots were fired. Maximo Banuelos, 23, and his brother, Ramiro, 26, died at hospitals in the area. Ramon Rios, 27, was released after treatment for a minor gunshot wound at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where another shooting victim, Joe Gomez, 21, was reported in critical condition. Hoffman said details of the incident were under investigation.
