Authorities asked for the public's help in identifying a woman whose nude body was found dumped on a utility road. The victim, believed to be 20 to 30 years old, was discovered on a Southern California Edison Co. road east of the San Gabriel River Freeway, south of Valley Boulevard. Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said the woman had been sexually assaulted and dumped on the road. She was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 130 pounds, with shoulder-length hair and wearing distinctive pearl earrings adorned with three seashell-shaped leaves.
