May 23, 1987

Phil Williams and Jamie Robinson of Point Loma Nazarene College were named All-Americans for their performances at the NAIA outdoor track championships Friday in Russellville, Ark.

The top six athletes in each event qualified as All-Americans.

Williams placed fourth in the men's 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.54 seconds. Williams, who was also an All-American last year, led for most of the race, but pulled a hamstring and finished .24 seconds behind the winner, Kevin McKinley of Prairie View A&M in Texas.

Robinson finished sixth in the women's high jump, clearing 5-feet 6 1/2-inches.
