Anaheim : Man Killed, Teen-Ager Wounded at Motel

May 31, 1987

Police Saturday were investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified man and the wounding of a 17-year-old boy at a Harbor Boulevard motel.

Lt. Jack Para said that shortly after 10:30 a.m. officers went to the Tops Motel in the 900 block of South Harbor Boulevard.

They found a man about 30 years old who had been shot in the head and a teen-ager shot in the face.

The man later died at UCI Medical Center in Orange, Para said.

The teen-ager, who was vacationing here from Utah, was reported in satisfactory condition at Anaheim Memorial Hospital, Para said.

"We're going to have to talk to the juvenile," Para said.

"I understand (the bullet) entered into his face somewhere and exited out the side."
