OUTTAKES THE SEQUEL

Losers, All!

June 21, 1987|Todd David Schwartz

The winners of The Times' Magnificent Movie Poll contest--which promoted Cineplex Odeon's new 18-screener in Universal City--included classics like "Gone With the Wind," "Casablanca" and "Citizen Kane."

But what about those titles sent in (entrants were invited to send in their all-time faves) that went nowhere? (The 22,277 entries encompassed 1,247 films.)

Outtakes got the scoop!

Among the films dear to the hearts of some Times readers:

"Blood Feast," "Heaven's Gate," "Friday the 13th," "Valley of the Dolls," "War of the Gargantuans," "Cobra," "Wanda Whips Wall Street," "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" and "The Golden Child."

And don't forget "1983 Superbowl Highlights."
