June 23, 1987|United Press International

MELBOURNE, Fla. — President Reagan will undergo a checkup next month as part of regular medical examinations scheduled since his surgery for colon cancer in July, 1985, the White House physician announced Monday.

Dr. John Hutton told reporters aboard Air Force One: "It's not going to have to be very extensive because he is doing so well."

The President has undergone postoperative examinations every six months at Bethesda Naval Medical Center in Maryland. Last January, he underwent an operation for an enlarged prostate.
