R.H. Estates : Mosquito Control District

June 25, 1987

After learning that Los Angeles County will no longer provide free mosquito control, the City Council voted unanimously to obtain services from a county agency at an annual cost of $1,940.

The council agreed to join the Los Angeles County West Mosquito Abatement District after free county services end Oct. 1. The county, which is discontinuing the service in a cost-cutting measure, will continue to fund only half the $3,880 annual cost of mosquito control in Rolling Hills Estates, City Manager Raymond B. Taylor said.
