Bids Out for Paramedic Van

June 25, 1987

The City Council authorized the solicitation of bids for a paramedic van to replace the 1981 rescue unit that now functions as the Fire Department's primary paramedic van.

City Manager Kenneth Jue told the council that paramedics now have the main rescue van and a 1975-model backup vehicle.

At the request of Councilman Steve Anderson, the possibility of a ballot measure to provide funding for an additional paramedic unit--giving the Fire Department two fully equipped rescue vehicles, plus one backup--will be discussed at the next council meeting on July 6.
