Am I alone in feeling that what the buck-stopper at Chrysler finds "dumb" is getting caught?
Deceptive business practices and unhealthful, dangerous working conditions cannot be dismissed as merely "dumb." They are vivid examples of the way the business community views both their workers and their customers--with ultimate contempt.
All the mea culpas (at reduced rates for repeats?) have as much effect as a drop in a bucket until the type of attitude displayed by the Chrysler vice chairman (" . . . it was our time in the barrel") is judged, not as humorous or dumb, but as downright disgusting.
