A warrant for actor Shawn Penn's arrest was quashed after he was found in Berlin making a movie, Deputy City Atty. Alice Hand said today. The warrant was issued Monday after a prosecutor said she suspected that the 26-year-old actor had not abided by the terms of an agreement that postponed his 60-day jail sentence for violating probation. Penn had been given time to finish a movie, but there were reports that he had been seen in New York and Los Angeles when he was supposed to be in Berlin.
Hand said she contacted executives of the company producing the movie and they confirmed Penn was working in Berlin. However, many of the reported sightings of Penn in the wrong place at the wrong time were true, Hand said.
