A new nine-minute video aimed at attracting residents and businesses to Pomona was premiered this week before the City Council.
Entitled "Pomona--The Right Mix," it was developed and produced by International Television Productions of Midvale, Utah, under a contract with the city and the Pomona Economic Development Corp.
The cost of the video and 100 copies of the tape was $10,000. It will be distributed across the country and around the world to promote Pomona, said H. S. Byrum, executive vice president of PED Corp. Presentations will be made locally, according to PED Corp. officials, "to convince Pomonans there isn't a better place anywhere to live, work and play."
The video replaces a 13-minute promotional slide show that PED Corp. and city officials had found cumbersome to distribute, Byrum said.
