Sales of existing homes fell 6.1% in June, the largest decline in five months, as the resale market was depressed by higher mortgage rates, the National Assn. of Realtors reported. The real estate trade group said existing single-family homes were sold at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.54 million units last month. The sales decline, the largest since a 14.3% drop in January, followed a 5.9% increase in May.
