1 Dead in Taiwan Typhoon

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Typhoon Alex swept over northern Taiwan with its fringe winds Monday, causing one death but little property damage, government agencies reported. They said a 35-year-old man was crushed to death by a wall felled by winds in Keelung. Alex is the second typhoon to hit Taiwan this year.
