Richard A. Brown, a retired engineer who lives in Fullerton, has become the volunteer project manager for Cal State Fullerton's future gerontology center, the university announced.
Brown is a charter member of Continuing Learning Experience, a university support group that led the drive to raise funds for the new center. The building, which will be for the use of senior citizens and for research into aging, will be the first privately funded structure to be built on the Cal State Fullerton campus. Construction is scheduled later this summer.
