Del E. Webb Corp. Chairman Robert K. Swanson met with representatives of Industrial Equity (Pacific), which owns 9.3% of the troubled Phoenix-based gaming and real estate company, and Hecco Ventures, which has a 9.1% stake. "The discussions were cordial," Swanson said. "No agreements were reached and no further meetings are scheduled at this time." Topics of discussion included possible licensing problems facing Webb's gaming operations in Nevada and New Jersey, Webb's exploration of splitting the company into two publicly held firms and the possible sale of parts of the company.
