Two newcomers and an incumbent will vie for two seats on the La Canada Unified School District Governing Board this fall.

The other candidates are Joyce Brace, a 57-year-old librarian with the Glendale Unified School District, and Richard Galaty, a 41-year-old senior vice president of Union Bank in Los Angeles.

Not running for reelection is Larry Knudsen, whose term expires Nov. 30. Knudsen, a 51-year-old education consultant, was elected along with Siegler in 1983.
