The Chicago Board of Trade will launch day and evening trading in new gold and silver contracts on Sept. 13. The board also has decided to lengthen its three-hour night trading session by 30 minutes beginning Oct. 25. The start of trading in the new metals futures--5,000-ounce silver contracts and 100-ounce gold contracts--would coincide with the board's first Sunday night session.
