Telstar Corp. is talking to an affiliated communications company about selling its interest in SelecTV operations for the Los Angeles area. The Los Angeles media company acquired SelecTV, a satellite programming service, late last year. At the time, the Los Angeles market represented about half of SelecTV's subscribers, with the rest primarily in New York, Houston and Sacramento. The firm said it expects an early resumption in trading of its stock, which had been halted temporarily pending financial reporting.
